Entity Annotation

In the document reading view, a new entity can be added by selecting one text from the document. Once it is selected, a whitelisting modal popup will appear.

The modal popup has a title text "Add entity:" and the selected text is shown beside the title text.

In order to annotate the text to be a new entity, the user needs to select one type from the "Select type" dropdown.

The user can only select one type in the dropdown. After selecting the entity type the OK button will turn into blue showing that submission has been enabled.

The user can also create new entity type by clicking new type checkbox. If the new type checkbox is selected, the "select type" dropdown will dissapear and the "new type" text input will appear.

After selecting or creating new type, the user is able to click ok button and it will start to annotate a new entity. The document will reload and there is new entity inside the document reading view.

Restriction

The user is not allowed to annotate entity from the text which has already been an entity. Once the user select a text that has already been annotated, the warning popup will appear, informing that the selection cannot contain existing entity.
